At six you are lovable and fun and funny. You are becoming more aware of who you are as a boy, a male in this world. You are beginning to identify more with the males around you and you are watching them closely and choosing the behaviors and interests that you want to have as your own. To me you are so big and at the same time still so little. I can still see the face of the baby I saw come into this world in your face and it makes my heart swell with so much love I feel as if I may burst.
You have so many questions about the world around you and recently in the car when we were talking about the earth and it's place in the universe you exclaimed, "This earth is so cool." You're right. Thanks for reminding me of that. Sometimes when you're an adult it's easy to bury your head in laundry or bills or house work. Thanks for reminding me how cool life is when you stop and really think about it.
At six you are full of excitment and wonder and energy. You are capable of such kindness and generosity. You were going on a trip the day after your birthday to the toy store with a neighbor that had gotten you something you already had. He was going to let you pick out a gift. Your brother was sad that he couldn't go. You gave him your birthday money so he could go and get something too. You are six and you are amazing.
